Lace up your running shoes for the annual LP Fun Run!

Wednesday, September 4

LP Lower Playground

This exciting event not only promises a day filled with fitness and fun, but also plays a vital role in supporting our school's events and programs. As the largest PTA fundraiser of the year, the Fun Run is the driving force behind many of the incredible initiatives we are able to offer. Without the success of this event, numerous school programs and events would simply not be possible. In fact, the Fun Run generates approximately 60% of the LP PTA's annual net funds, making it an essential contributor to the success of our school community. For the 2024-25 school year, our fundraising goal is $40,000!

How to participate

Pledges and donations will be collected ONLINE through each child's personalized 99 Pledges page. (Students’ individual pages will be shared with families on August 21.) We will also accept check or cash donations, which can be recorded on a Fun Run Pledge Sheet found in the LP office. All Pledge Sheets (checks/cash included) must be returned to the LP office no later than September 20. Please contact the Fun Run Committee if you have any questions.

fun run Incentives

We know how to make running fun! Students have the chance to earn exciting prizes and rewards based on their fundraising efforts. It's a fantastic way to teach our kids about setting goals and working hard to achieve them.

  • The first 50 students to receive a donation of any amount via 99 Pledges will receive a PAWsome ticket*.
  • Students who meet or exceed their running goal will also receive a PAWsome ticket. Volunteers will be on hand before the race to record students' running goals.
  • The class in each grade with the most average laps per student will also receive an extra recess at an agreed upon time with the teacher.
  • Additional incentives are to be announced, so please encourage your students to send their fundraising pages to friends and family and run as many laps as they can.
*PAWsome tickets will be distributed to classrooms by the end of October.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE FUN RUN

  • The PTA will provide students with a free official 2024 Fun Run T-shirt, along with a personalized RFID-enabled bib to count their laps.
  • Students are encouraged to wear running shoes.
  • Water will not be provided. Please bring two prefilled and labeled water bottles to the event.
  • After the run, the PTA will provide fresh fruit to all students to enjoy before returning to class.

Spectators

Families are welcome on campus to help volunteer and/or cheer on their students! Please plan to enter from the lower entrance (off Camino Ricardo) and walk up towards the lower playground.
