Dear LP Families,

I can’t believe we’re already at the end of the school year. As we wrap up, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you for a truly wonderful year!

A special thank you to our Room Parents, led by the amazing Mouang Lowe. Room Parents are the heartbeat of so much of what makes LP special — organizing events, supporting teachers, coordinating volunteers, and helping build community in each classroom. You do so much behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for your time, care, and energy for our kids.

Thank you as well to all of our volunteers this year. If you missed our appreciation event, please know how much we value you. Everything we accomplished through the PTA this year was only possible because of your support. A couple weeks ago, the PTA shared the above slideshow with the MSD Board highlighting some of our contributions this year — a great reminder of what this community can do together.

One important reminder: please vote YES on Measure I and turn in your ballots! We’ve been focused on making sure every parent votes, because turnout will determine the outcome. If we all show up and vote YES, this measure will pass! And it will directly protect the teachers and programs that make our schools so special and worth fighting for. Most of us didn’t move to Moraga for the nightlife or restaurants — we moved here for the schools. Let’s keep them strong!
